Last Chance to Submit to the Lineage Issue!

Tomorrow, January 10, is the last day to submit to Libertroph Magazine's LINEAGE issue! Join us in an exploration of Lineage and its many meanings as they relate to white anti-racist organizing. 💧

There were always white people there,” David Billings reminds readers in Libertroph Issue 01. Whether speaking out against the massacres of Indigenous people on this land, or providing safe passage to people escaping enslavement, white people have played critical roles in the 400+ years of organizing to undo racism. So why don’t we know their names? How has their invisibility served the status quo?

We invite white organizers, activists, writers, and artists to get curious about the anti-racist white people who came before us. Not to pedestalize them, but to see them as complex people who inevitably made mistakes, but who also took risks and made efforts that can sharpen our organizing today.

Here are some people we’re curious about, and we know there are more.

Who might you write or create art about to strengthen our collective capacity to end racism in this lifetime? Are there other white antiracist organizers, ancestors, or elders whose stories you want to explore?

Lineage can be familial, ideological, cultural, spiritual, or personal. Join us in exploring LINEAGE and its many meanings.

Still not sure if you want to submit? Drafts are welcome, and we’ll work with you to finalize your piece if you are selected.

Check out what Issue 01 contributors had to say about their experiences.

At Libertroph, we're committed to growing anti-racist community in every step of our processes. 🧡 We hope you join us!
